From 2-5 Oct 2025, I attended the Family of God Reunion, a reunion for Endeavor Academy.

Before I went to the reunion, I anticipated that it would be great. It turned out better than I expected.

Here’s some perspective. I heard a bit about the lead-up in the year prior to the reunion. The organizing committee was shaky, with plenty of disagreement, even inside the committee. Apparently, there was resistance from some people. Many people thought that it would be a failure, that, at best, the event might successfully be scheduled and a few people might show up. The planning continued to be shaky until shortly before the event. Yet, in the end, there were probably about 200 people at the reunion, with about 100 people in the room at most times throughout the weekend. I heard smaller numbers from others, so my estimate may be high.

I think that the planning committee had an impossible task to achieve. There was no conceivable way to design a program which would be liked by all the people. After all, some people would want nothing but Dear One videos the entire time. Others would oppose a single Dear One video. Some would want most of the time spent in light circles. Others would avoid them entirely. Many people have strong opinions about what should be included or excluded. How could the organizers possibly string together events that everyone would like? To me, their task was like mission impossible. Somehow, they strung together a schedule of events which flowed smoothly from one great, enjoyable event to another, a bit of this, then a bit of that. I never really felt like I enduring something unpleasant for any length of time.

For the past 10 years, I never heard any talk about a reunion. Somehow, the idea popped up. I think that most people assumed that it would be a one-time event. Near the end of the last day, someone asked the 100 people in the room to put up their hands if they were interested in having another reunion next year, and pretty much every hand in the room went up.

After the reunion, Prem (one of the organizers and a primary conduit for electronic communication) said:
“Absolutely everybody I’ve heard from said they were deeply affected in a very positive way. In fact absolutely everyone I’ve heard from said the reunion is still working on them. So it was different from what I thought it would be and it was much better than I ever imagined.”

There were many presentations from a variety of people. One of the presentations was from Veronica. Here’s what she said about the Family of God Reunion in Wisconsin.

What a reunion it was! Many know that Endeavor Academy ceased to exist—at least in form—several years ago. This was the first time an event brought everyone together again to honor what was, what still is, and to meet each other in the now of our new paths.
I had the blessing of growing up at Endeavor Academy from ages 10 to 18. Although I disowned it for a couple years, forgiveness caught up with me to show me only the love was real. The academy has been called everything from “an amazing place” to “a cult” and “a sect.” The reality is it’s hard to describe what happened there unless you lived it. For me, it was the best possible place to grow up. The amount of love I received there was beyond measure, and the rich mix of cultures and ages enabled me to feel comfortable engaging in conversations and relationships with just about anybody. And then I had dads—not just one, but several—who showed me so much protection and support that I never missed my real dad, even though the event of his passing is written on me in an indelible way.
There was so much joy shared at this reunion, so much maturation as well. You could feel the wisdom journey in which all of us have continued, and now we’ve come back simply to express gratitude, as we were all part of each other’s awakening.

A Course In Miracles – Energetic Rhythm – EA Reunion Presentation

In the video, I talk about the brilliant work done my Michael, followed later by Ray Comeau with his books. And, later, James Twyman produced ACIM songs. Ray eloquently described the use of various aspects of how our voice is divinely postured as a tool to lull our minds into a condition of profound receptivity. I say that it does more than that. I say that it uses our deepened receptivity to usher us into our hearts and to deliver us directly into our own inner direct experience of the Love of God. I have a sense of other layers imbued into ACIM beyond the coarseness of the verbiage, some aspects which have a profound effect on our heart and our being. I maintain that there are other mystical levels, yet undiscovered, working divinely for our benefit.

The part of the presentation which introduces new material is primarily in the last 5 minutes of the video. In response to my prayer for how to help people who are stuck at the conceptual level while trying to benefit from ACIM, I got a partial answer after meditating on this for a while. Here’s an approach which might produce better results.

The idea came which is analagous to impressionism in art. If you look at an impressionistic art piece up close, especially if you focus on a part of it, you will see only dots or splotches of paint. You will fail to see the forms depicted in the painting. What you need to do is to stand back, take your eyes of of focus and try to get a “fuzzy” view of the whole painting. Then, you’ll recognize a beautiful landscape or whatever is depicted. This is the manner in which to tune into the energetic rhythm aspect of the the lullaby known as ACIM. Indeed, I think that it’s useful, at times, to approach reading a passage in ACIM as if reading a lullaby. This is an approach which may help to usher you into a divine experience. This is a different and more powerful way to approach reading ACIM, at times. You can loose yourself temporarily from the conceptual aspect and allow yourself to be led along an energetic flow, a level of sophistication imbued into every page of ACIM.

Here’s how.
When reading a passage in ACIM, read a paragraph without much thought about the concepts described in the words and sentences. Rather, read with an intention to feel the energy of the paragraph. Then, do the same with the next paragraph and the next. Think of this as a soft approach, like enjoying a lullaby, like an “energetic bath”. If it goes well, the energetic rhythm will lull you into a flow of an energetic experience. Thus, your consciousness can get transported into an experience of your Self, which is an experience of universal consciousness and of God in your heart and being.

Here’s how it worked for me.
I got some instruction from a friend at Endeavor Academy a long time ago. The instruction was to read any part of ACIM for a while until I felt the joy of God bubbling up in my heart. Then, as I was entering into that energetic experience, I closed the book and closed my eyes. At that point, the Course had done its work on me. If I continued to read the words, they would only get in my way. The work of ACIM is to elevate my spirit, to bring me to an experience of the divine within. I followed this instruction, and it worked wonderfully for me. There are many paths by which I enounter a welling-up of divine energy in my being. Reading ACIM is one path which works for me. I have found that it works best when I am not in an analytical mode of engaging my left brain to understand the concepts. Rather, I soften with the reading. Even though I’m getting a good sense of many of the concepts because many relate to prior experiences I’ve had, I don’t focus on that aspect. I allow whichever concepts make sense to fall into place. Yet, I focus on the right brain aspect of noticing the flow of energy that pervades the passages that I’m reading and intending to tune into that flow, allowing my being to merge into that flow.
